The consequences could have been much more dramatic. Around 9:30 p.m. on Monday evening, between the Flagey and Étangs d’Ixelles stops, two young people on scooters arrived at the window of a driver of bus 71. They decided to shoot with a “ball gun” in the open window of the bus. They then hurt the Stib agent in the eye. The bus was rolling. Despite his injury, the driver manages to brake. No collisions occurred and no passengers were injured.
The driver had to be transferred to the hospital. The police and the STIB security brigades then patrolled line 71 to secure it. The agent of the transport company, shocked by the events, was able to leave the hospital in the evening. His eye injury is painful but should not leave any scars.
For their part, the police confirmed the throwing of a projectile but, according to the first intervention report, they rather evoked a throwing of a stone. This Tuesday morning she was still looking for the two young people. The STIB confirms its desire to file a complaint.
