Bus Strike: will there be transportation today, Monday, May 6?

The details about the general strike that had been announced for this Monday.

The conflict between the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT) and President Javier Milei brought to the scene a new possibility of a bus strike for this Monday, May 6. In the last hours, the leaders finally announced their decision.

First of all, it must be taken into account that the situation for buses, trains and the subway will be different, since the first two (led at the union level by the UTA and La Fraternidad, respectively) have not adhered to the measure for the moment.

On the other hand, the Metrodelegates, a union of the workers of the six lines, the Buenos Aires premetro and other spaces of this service, supported the CATT statement informing the measure.

  • Until now the UTA (Automotive Tram Union) and La Fraternidad have not joined the general strike.
  • On the other hand, the Metrodelegates, who will hold assemblies affecting the service on the six subway lines, as well as the premetro, between 8 and 11.
