Three years after the pandemic, France is returning to the levels of failure to which it was accustomed before Covid. In 2023, 55,492 companies opened recovery and liquidation procedures, i.e. 34% more than in 2022, according to the Bank of France’s count published this Friday.
The late return to normal is therefore proving to be brutal even if this figure remains much lower than the trend observed between 2010 and 2019, when on average 59,300 defects per year were recorded in France.
