Busy weekend for Kyle Kirkwood in Detroit

Injured in a motocross accident, Jack Hawksworth withdrew for the sixth round of the IMSA season. The date of return of the usual holder in the Lexus RC F GT3 n°17 of VasserSullivan, discharged from the hospital and currently recovering at home, has not yet been decided. He will therefore be replaced this weekend in Detroit by Ben Barnicoat, a week before his participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Team Project 1.

His buddy will be Kyle Kirkwood. The 23-year-old Floridian will be doubly busy this weekend as he will also take part in the IndyCar round with AJ Foyt Racing, also scheduled for Michigan’s biggest city. Kirkwood is a regular with the VasserSullivan team in GTD having raced with the Lexus for the past three seasons.
