BVT trial about spies, Syrian general and Pippi Longstocking – court reports

Vienna – Defense attorney Klaus Ainedter sees parallels between the work of the Economic and Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (WKStA) and a literary figure in the opening speech in the abuse of office proceedings against four accused. “I feel like Pippi Longstocking, who has also arranged her world,” he criticizes. While the two WKStA representatives in the large courtroom are convinced that they can prove that the (ex-)employees of the former Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Combating Terrorism (BVT) and an employee of the Federal Office for Immigration and Asylum have committed abuse of office, the legal representatives are of the opinion that the accused officers had done their job in an exemplary manner.
