We spent ten partly strenuous, partly relaxing cycling days on the more than 630-kilometer route on our touring bikes – without a motor. The Alpe Adria cycle path was at the beginning of the planning. Then came the idea of starting in Linz and extending to Trieste. Trieste is always worth a visit and there are good train connections back. The trip can also be divided into two sections: from Linz to Villach and from Villach to Trieste.
