C&A parts with cult brand: These products will soon be missing from the fashion giant

C&A has decided to take a final step with a partner. The collaboration will end soon. Read here what customers can expect from the loss of the Mustang brand.

The partnership between the fashion chain C&A and the denim label Mustang ends after around four years. Like “textile economyreported, the separation comes from the fashion chain C&A. The partnership is expected to end entirely on February 1, 2023. As early as August 1, 2022, Mustang products will gradually disappear from C & A’s branches. Initially, this will happen at around 303 locations.

Mustang CEO Andreas Baur regretted C & A’s decision, but wished the fashion chain all the best for the future. In fact, the move should also pay into Mustang’s own plans. The company is planning a realignment this year with new brand communication. This should be implemented for the autumn or winter season of this year.

C&A also regards the past four years of partnership as successful. Nevertheless, one would have to realign oneself now. The fashion chain wants to concentrate more on its own brands again and thus pick up the customers. It would therefore be conceivable that the space could then be used to further expand C & A’s jeans range and to advertise it more prominently at the locations.

In the jeans sector, the fashion chain has long offered its own brand “Jinglers”. These are available in various fits and colors and should be able to be combined for different occasions. Here C&A could continue to work on the range in order to pick up the young target group – who should be addressed with Mustang – with new products.
