Cadem: Carabineros approval reaches 79%, the highest since 2015

The latest Cadem survey, whose results were announced this Sunday, there is a rise in the approval of the management of Carabineros (79%), lthe highest since 2015, the year in which it began to be measured.

The institution that has the highest approval in the population is the PDI that maintains 85%, then Carabineros with 79%, the Armed Forces exceeds 70%. While, The entities that have the least approval are the Prosecutor’s Office, which falls by 11 points, reaching 29%, as well as the Courts of Justice, which drop 12 points, reaching 20%, and Congress, which falls 8 points and reaches 18%.

Within the framework of presidential preferences, José Antonio Kast rises 4 points reaching 17%; Evelyn Matthei achieves 10%, 1 point more than last week and Rodolfo Carter climbs 6 points achieving 7%. While 43% have no candidate or do not respond.

The approval of President Gabriel Boric remains stable at 30%, while disapproval reaches 65%, two points more than the previous one.

In evaluation of political parties the highest evaluations were given by the Party for the People (PDG) with 32%; National Renewal with 31%, the Independent Democratic Union with 29% and the Republican Party with 28%.

At the other extreme are the PRSD with 18%, the Liberal Party with 18% and the Communist Party with 15%, whose disapproval reaches 76%.

This time Cadem asked about the 50th anniversary of the coup. 82% know that September is the 50th anniversary and 84% consider that this date divides Chileans a lot. In addition, 92% consider that it is a time to take advantage of promoting peace and reconciliation.

Finally, 68% think that Chile is a better country than 50 years ago, 6 points less than in 2013, but only 39% believe that justice has been done in terms of human rights and 23% believe that we are a reconciled country.
