Simba SC receives Orlando Pirates this Sunday April 17, 2022 at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam. It is part of the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Football Confederation Cup.
Simba Sports Club and Orlando Pirates will meet for the first time in history this Sunday. It’s a bit surprising for these two clubs, who are still regulars in continental competitions and who have a glorious past. Simba Sports Club is 22 times champion of Tanzania and finalist of the CAF Cup in 1993.
Orlando Pirates were winners of the CAF Champions League in 1995. Titled nine times in the South African first division, the Johannesburg club were unfortunate finalists of the CAF Cup in 2015.
