Al-Marsad newspaper: California Senator Scott Wilk warned parents of the consequences of the “Gender Affirmation” bill, or what is known as gender identification, following its amendment.
He explained that according to the new law, if parents refuse to confirm their child’s preferred gender, they may face charges of child abuse and lose custody disputes, according to “Fox News”.
The senator called on parents who “love their children” to flee the state before it’s too late, in response to the alarming language in the bill, noting that “he himself plans not to stay in the state once he leaves the legislature.”
The California bill aims to control parents’ medical decisions regarding their children by forcing them to provide “gender affirming care,” claiming it is among children’s needs for “health, safety, and well-being.”
