Raise awareness among all audiences of the reality experienced by people suffering from mental illnesses, better understand these illnesses, promote quality cinematographic works… These are the objectives of the Arts Convergences Prize in 4 minutes flat!
Living with a mental illness can take many forms. Thus a large space of freedom is left to the participants of the Arts Convergences Prize for whom the creation of these videos is an opportunity to discover the difficulties, but above all the riches of imagination and humor implemented to overcome, circumvent and live with this handicap on a daily basis.
This Prize is offered in the form of a call for projects, open to all, for 4’max videos of all genres (documentary, fiction, animation, etc.) with more than €5,000 in prize money for the winning videos, by the Jury and by the Public. The call for projects will be distributed for several months to schools and training courses that address the subject of communication through images (journalism, fine arts, audiovisual, cinema, etc.) but also to medico-social structures and health care structures. psychiatric care.
The very short format of these videos allows you to get to the point. Brevity is also the guarantee of an effective presence on the web and social networks in order to make these videos and the issues they raise known to as many people as possible. Several Prizes with €5,000 in prizes will be awarded at the end of November 2024, during a ceremony open to the public at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac: the Grand Prize (€2,500), the Jury Prize (€1,500), the Public (€1,000). The Public Prize will be awarded following the online votes counted in the Jury’s pre-selection.
