Call it bald Sexual abuse | Baldness | Sexual Harrassment | Hair Loss | Hair Care

The UK Employment Tribunal has ruled that calling men bald can be considered sexual harassment. The tribunal also observed that associating a person with his baldness in the workplace was discriminatory. Tony Finn, an electrician, approached the tribunal against the company he worked for.

Finn worked for 24 years at the British Bang Company in West Yorkshire. But in May 2021, the company fired him. Finn approached the tribunal and complained that he had been sexually abused. Factory supervisor Jamie King was mocked for being bald. This was in July 2019. When they had an argument, they used sexually abusive words and insults. Finn told the tribunal that this had caused great mental distress.

A three-member tribunal, headed by Jonathan Brain, ruled that abusing a person’s physical condition would put a lot of pressure on him. The tribunal’s observation was comparable to the sexual harassment of women in the workplace.
