The security guard in the van who went to the ATM with money was shot dead and eight lakh rupees were stolen from the van. The incident took place near Jagatpur flyover in Delhi around 5 pm on Tuesday. Fifty-five-year-old Jai Singh, who was working as a security guard in the van, died. He was shot and immediately admitted to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.
The attack took place when the van stopped to fill the ATM of ICICI Bank. The assailant came from behind the van and fired at Jai Singh. The attack took place at 4.50 pm when the van stopped to fill the ATM. Deputy Commissioner Sagar Singh Kalsi explained that the assailant who came from behind fired at the guard and stole the money. The police registered a case and started investigation. Attempts are being made to identify the assailant by examining the CCTV cameras in the area.
