Can Documentary Award for All That Breathe in India | Cannes 2022: Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathe, India’s only entry this year, wins L’Ole d’Or for Best Documentary Film

Paris: ‘All That Breath’ from India won the Golden Eye Award for Best Documentary at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Shaunak Sen is the director of All That Breath. The one-and-a-half-hour-long documentary is a heartwarming portrayal of brothers Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shahzad rescuing and caring for injured birds in Wazirabad, Delhi.

The award-winning documentary was selected by a panel of judges comprising Polish director Agnieszka Hollande, Ukrainian author and director Irina Cilic, French actor Pierre Deledonschamps, Moroccan director Hisham Falah and journalist Alex Vicente.

The Golden Eye Documentary Award was established in 2015 by the Authors’ Society of France in association with the Cannes Film Festival. The prize money is 5,000 euros. HBO Documentary Films has acquired All That Breach, which previously won the Sundance Film Festival Award.
