As a reminder, this is the first time that Morocco has played in the final of a women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The Atlas Lionesses notably had the merit of eliminating Nigeria in the semi-finals on penalties. This after a 1-1 draw. They will play the World Cup for the first time in their history in 2023.
