Margot Robbie stars in Babylon with Brad Pitt, the highly anticipated film from award-winning director Damien Chazelle. Where the interpreter puts herself in the shoes of the promising actress Nellie LaRay, in 1920 Hollywood.
The film, which opens on January 19, 2023 in Chile, has drawn the attention of critics for various reasons, one of which is the explicit scene of an orgy in the first few minutes.
Actress Carey Mulligan chatted with Robbie in a recent interview for “Actors on Actors” from Variety, and described the opening sequence as “this wild, crazy, hugely riotous party” with “a lot of people wearing very little or nothing”.

Margot replied that: “It is a mixture between a party and an orgy. It becomes an orgy.” She further said that the film was “crazy”, and that: “When I read the script, I thought, it’s like La Dolce Vita and Wolf of Wall Street had a baby, and I love it. But I also thought, can we show that? Can we show that?”
The Barbie interpreter confessed that: “There were so many scenes where I thought: a) I have no idea how I’m going to do that and b) are we going to get in trouble?”
Robbie further added that: “I have never worked so hard in my life. I was devastated at the end of that job.”
