During an election campaign, debates and other public interventions are generally popular with candidates, keen on media visibility. Five days before the election to the Geneva State Council, a discussion on the cantonal climate plan organized by the Geneva Grandstand (JW) was however canceled at the last minute following the withdrawal of UDC Lionel Dugerdil, MCG Philippe Morel and Pierre Maudet. Refraining from snubbing climate issues, all three evoke conflicting agendas and a longer debate than initially announced.
