A state of anxiety afflicted everyone after it was announced that the Egyptian artist Samir Sabry was admitted to the hospital, after suffering from heart problems and required surgical intervention from doctors.
Despite the fact that the news about the health condition was referring to a heart catheterization today, Thursday, after which he will leave the hospital, according to Ilham Shaheen, who was on a visit to him.
However, Samir Sabry sparked shocking surprises about his health, when he revealed in a phone call to the media, Basma Wahba, that he had been receiving chemotherapy sessions for a year, which had an effect on the heart.
He revealed that during this year he defeated cancer, but what happened to the heart requires urgent surgery in the coming days, calling on everyone to pray for him to overcome this health crisis.
Samir Sabry did not reduce the size of the surgery that he will perform, as he stressed that it is a major surgery and requires great care, and he hopes to overcome it safely, especially since it will take place within 4 days.
Samir Sabry spoke about those who visited him during his stay in the hospital, describing them as “the beloved”, and mentioned the names of Ilham Shaheen, Mervat Amin, Donia Samir Ghanem, Najwa Fouad and Fifi Abdo.
He also thanked Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi for what he did to Egypt over the past years, and indicated that the Minister of Culture, Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, made a call to him and stressed that he is one of the sons of Egypt, and if he needs anything, he will find them next to him.
