Candy Crush boss is excited about Microsoft’s takeover of King

In the takeover packaging that has caused a lot of ink to flow, Microsoft wants to buy the Activision-Blizzard and King combo. If we knew that Bobby Kotick is already very very very motivated, we learn that the boss of King is just as much. Indeed, in an interview with Mobilegamer.bizTodd Green, the current boss of King, was able to discuss the subject.

We continue to be focused on King and our business, but what I can say is that King is excited about the possibilities the merger could bring. Microsoft said an important part of the deal was their ability to expand into the mobile space. We are excited that King can be a part of this potential future, although we will continue to operate as two separate companies for now.

Additionally, Todd explains that this mobile game had revenue up around 20% year-over-year for each quarter of 2022. Which is a more than respectable score and will certainly make Microsoft happy if the deal is going well.
