Norway’s national football team will most likely have to do without its captain Martin Ödegaard in the Nations League return match against Austria on October 13 in Linz. The Arsenal midfield star sustained an ankle injury in the duel with the ÖFB team two weeks ago in Oslo (2:1 for Norway) after a tackle with Christoph Baumgartner. According to Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, the 25-year-old will be out for several weeks.

“Maybe there will be a surprise, but I think it’s unlikely he’ll be back before the international break,” Arteta said on Tuesday. The Norwegians will face Slovenia in Oslo on October 10 before visiting Upper Austria three days later.
