Sunday, on Chaussée de Dinant, a stone’s throw from the Carrefour de Wépion store, a motorist hit two pedestrians who were crossing the zebra crossing. The driver, who was driving from Namur towards Dinant, told the police that he had been dazzled by the sun. “An automotive expert came to the scene to analyze this version, comments the Namur prosecutor’s office. The owner of the vehicle was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. According to the first elements of the investigation, he also respected the speed limit.”
Concerning the two pedestrians, they are a lady born in 1941 and a man born in 1937. The first mentioned was slightly injured. “The man’s state of health is more worrying. He was transferred to Mont-Godinne hospital”adds the prosecution.
