Car-Free Sunday in Brussels: Rediscover Sustainable Mobility and Enjoy the Largest Car-Free Zone in Europe

2023-09-16 13:42:00

Important reminder: like every year, the City of Brussels organizes its “car-free Sunday” during the month of September. This year, this day dedicated to the rediscovery of walking, cycling, scooters or traveling by public transport, will take place this Sunday, September 17.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., the Brussels-Capital Region will therefore become a zone closed to cars, the largest in Europe.

Make your arrangements if you ever have to initially drive by car in our capital! Only urgent services, public utility vehicles and people with an exemption will be able to travel in areas prohibited to automobile traffic.
