Two policemen ended up injured after shooting with a criminal. This last subject was killed by police personnel in La Granja. Before that, that same individual would have been involved in an illegal act in which a woman was injured. The facts are now being investigated by the PDI.
Two police officers were injured and one man was killed after a shootout in the La Granja commune in the Metropolitan region. The antisocial would have been involved in the theft of a vehicle and then in another event where a woman ended up dead.
According to the first records, the subject who was killed by the Carabineros would have fired shots at police personnel from a car. All within the framework of a chase that had extended for several kilometers and ended in an exchange of shots.
“The vehicle was intercepted by two police cars. The driver of the vehicle used firearms and hit one of the Carabineros cars. As a result, there was an exchange that ended with the deceased offender. In addition, another woman who was accompanying him in the vehicle was detained,” explained Carabineros General Jean Camus.

The police procedure had started due to the theft of a white vehicle carried out by the couple of criminals (the one killed and the one detained in La Granja), who hours before threatened and intimidated the owner to carry out the crime.
Minutes later, the same antisocials would have been involved in another event where a woman ended up dead after receiving bullet wounds.
“The victim was picked up and transferred to the unit after the robbery suffered at around 6:00 p.m.,” explained Carabineros General Jean Camus.
Prosecutor Francisco Lara Madrid, head of flagrante delicto Oriente, gave more details of what happened and the relationship between the events.
“All this began first with a robbery with violence and intimidation also in the La Florida commune where a private vehicle was stolen. The perpetrators of this crime participate in a second site of the event, a second event, also in the commune of La Florida where the circumstances being investigated, the death of a woman would have occurred, ”explained the persecutor.
Adding that “later the people who accompanied this woman took her to the 36th Police Station in La Florida where she arrived dead.”
At the same time, the prosecutor maintained, the antisocials fled and clashed with the police who were chasing them.
As reported by Carabineros, both injured officials are out of vital risk and were transferred to the Police Hospitalwhere the general director of the institution, Ricardo Yáñez, is expected to arrive.
Finally, it was reported that by order of the Public Ministry the facts are being investigated by the Investigative Police.
