Carlos Alcaraz qualified at the end of the night in New York for the semi-finals of the US Open by dominating in five fierce sets the Italian Jannik Sinner (6-3, 6-7 [7]6-7 [0]7-5, 6-3).
The Spaniard (19) saved a match point at 5-4 in the fourth set before breaking at 4-3 in the fifth and finishing following 5:15 of play. This is the first time he has reached the last four of a Grand Slam tournament.
