The MLS premiered its season this February 21 with the duel between Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami and Real Salt Lake at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. His last game with the national jersey took place on September 6, 2016 for the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup. In that duel the Bicolor won 9-3 against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, five of those goals were from Carlos Ruiz.
