The Peruvian defender had to leave the field of the Estadio Deportivo Cali at minute 43 of the first half, after suffering an apparently muscular injury. Zambrano was even removed on a stretcher and set off the alarms in the ‘Xeneize’. His place was taken by Nicolás Figal.
Zambrano, throughout the time he played, was key to blocking Yony González in a play produced at minute 14, after a rude mistake by goalkeeper Agustín Rossi, The Peruvian national team player also appeared in a timely manner in the area and saved to the ‘Xeneize’.
Boca stumbled in his debut
