A USB-C implementation Apple’s iPhone 15 line gave a lot to talk about. In general, it can be said that the measure was beneficial because Apple finally adhered to a connection standard used by the market. However, it also caused a small headache for users who use their cell phones connected to the car.

This is because the cable that comes in the company’s smartphone packaging is not adapted for connection in vehicles. There are several models that require a USB Type-A port to connect the device and enable CarPlay. As you may already know, the cable provided by the company does not have ends with this shape.

The situation doesn’t stop there, as Apple also doesn’t produce its own cable with USB-C/USB-A tips. Likewise, it does not sell product options in the category to partner brands, such as Mophie and Belkin. Therefore, users who want to activate the system for cars are left with limited options.

It is also worth mentioning that Apple offers an adapter to overcome this type of problem. However, the accessory is not very cheap, selling for US$29 (R$141). In fact, it is possible to use CarPlay wirelessly in some vehicle models, but there are people who prefer wired mode because of the possibility of charging the device while driving.

Despite this, all is not lost, because there are ways to buy certified cables from trusted brands. Likewise, there are adapters that can be useful to overcome this scenario. Not all types of cables can be used for charging and data transfer, but a good choice can be useful in saving a lot of money.
