Reports in Spain revealed the terms and details of the transfer of Dutchman Memphis Depay from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid in the January transfers.
And after attempts since last summer to get rid of the former Lyon player, Atletico reached an agreement with the Blaugrana to obtain its striker, who came out of coach Xavi’s accounts.
According to “Mundo”, the value of the deal will be in the range of 3-4 million euros only, as Atletico will pay three million euros directly, and an additional million in the form of incentives.
The report stated that among the terms of the deal was that Barcelona would obtain the right to contract with Yannick Ferrera Carrasco next summer for an amount not exceeding 20 million euros, after the failure to complete a mutual deal between the two clubs regarding the Portuguese winger and the Dutch striker.
It is expected that the official announcement of Depay’s transfer to the ranks of Atletico Madrid will be made on Thursday evening, after undergoing the necessary medical examinations at the club’s headquarters in the Spanish capital.
