GoHobby’s electric ‘flying car’ makes first experimental flight in Brazil

O first experimental flight of a flying car was held in Brazil this Friday (20). In this sense, the model in question is the EH216-S from the Chinese company EHang and the test was performed by GoHobby with authorization from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) in Quadra, a city in the interior of São Paulo.

For those who don’t remember, the vehicle was launched in December last year and is an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. In total, the first flight lasted about 6 minutes, while the second lasted around 4 minutes at a height of 40m with a maximum speed of 40 km/h.

The test took place at 11:30 a.m. and an interesting detail is that the model used was operated remotely. In this case, the pilot is responsible for monitoring the route taken by the vehicle and can interfere in the operation, if necessary. The route and altitude of the flight were defined before takeoff.
