Casablanca Stock Exchange: Continued Downward Trend Despite MASI Reaching Its Peak

Opened downward, the Casablanca Stock Exchange continues on a downward trend. And this despite a MASI showing at its zenith -0.00% at 11,774.97 points.

After opening the day’s session on a negative note of -0.13% at 11,759.65 points, the main index of the Casablanca Stock Exchange still had not regained growth, and recorded at mid- session -0.00% to 11,774.97 points.

The volume of transactions on the central market reached 48,660,583.64 MAD, with the largest exchanges being Addoha (1,686,403 securities), Alliances (50,716 securities), and Lesieur Cristal (38,422 securities).

At the level of individual values, the shares which gained the most value were those of Lesieur Cristal which appreciated by 5.66%, Société Métallurgique d’Imiter (SMI), up 2.29% and Aluminum of Morocco (ALM) which gained 1.85%. Conversely, IB Maroc.Com (IBM), Med Paper (MDP) and SNEP marked the biggest declines, falling respectively by I-4.17%, -3.80%, and -2.86%.

We will have to wait until the closing for a final assessment of the day’s session.
