Cochin | The investigation team will question actor Dileep today in the case of attacking the actress. He was questioned for seven hours yesterday and released. However, the probe team said that the interrogation would continue today. The investigation team was trying to find out whether the attack scenes were in the possession of the actor.
Dileep told investigators that he did not know about director Balachandra Kumar’s statement and did not try to influence witnesses in any way. The probe team said more clarity was needed on the matter.
The interrogation was led by Crime Branch chief S Sreejith. The question was to find out whether Dileep was in possession of the footage of the attack on the actress.
Dileep was questioned two and a half months after the probe began. Statements and other evidence of the accused and witnesses have been accepted. Dileep had sent a notice to appear before the Crime Branch on Thursday but was told he was inconvenienced. The interrogation took place yesterday.
