From the video in which Real Madrid paid tribute to a player who has marked an era for the club, Casemiro could not contain his emotion. “When my wife and I arrived, I didn’t know anyone. We arrived in a new country, at a club like Real Madrid where we have built our lives. When I left Sao Paulo it was clear to me that I was going to play in the Real Madrid first team, but before that I had a challenge, to play for Castilla and leave through the front door. It was a great illusion because I learned the values of the club and the academy, which is the most beautiful thing. The future is the quarry and it gave me a lot of hope”he expressed.

The Brazilian midfielder revealed the process, assuring that he informed Real Madrid before the summer of his intentions and, especially, President Florentino Pérez, with whom he has a great relationship.
“The first conversation was the day after the Champions League final. I told them that my cycle was finished at the club. It is a very important decision, I have been in Madrid for nine years, I have been a father here and it is a change for my family that has been united in my decision. It was difficult to talk to the president, I know the affection he has for me and I will carry him for all my life.
