This Wednesday (August 30), Prime Video Brasil presents the trailer for “Cassandro”, a film starring Gael García Bernal. This highly anticipated film will be released on September 22nd. The plot of this feature film tells the story of Saúl Armendáriz, an amateur gay fighter from El Paso, who creates the persona of Cassandro, the “Liberador da Luta Livre”. “Cassandro” is an emotional journey that follows Saúl Armendáriz (played by Gael García Bernal) as he enters the world of Mexican wrestling in the 1980s. Initially reluctant to assume the persona of an exotic drag wrestler, he finds Sabrina (played by Roberta Colindrez), who becomes not only his professional trainer, but also a friend who helps him find the courage to be himself, both in and out of the ring.
After facing numerous challenges, Saúl creates the figure of Cassandro, an openly gay fighter and an unlikely hero. Cassandro not only inspires him to accept his true identity, but also helps him find a meaningful purpose in life.
