Konami has revealed the English voice cast for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse in a new trailer, introducing Abby Trott as protagonist Rose Belmont and Graham McTavish as Dracula. Developed by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the exploration-based 2D action game launches on October 15.
The upcoming title marks a significant return for a legendary franchise. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is slated for release on October 15 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, alongside Xbox Cloud and Xbox PC, as reported by Anime News Network. Konami confirmed that the Switch version will run at 30 frames per second at launch, according to Nintendo Life.

The newly released trailer showcases gothic environments, exploration mechanics, and demanding boss encounters. Konami noted that the ensemble cast brings acclaimed performers from across games, film and television
to breathe life into the 15th-century Parisian setting.
Abby Trott leads the lineup as Rose Belmont, the successor to Trevor Belmont, wielding the legendary Vampire Killer whip against monstrous creatures. Meanwhile, Graham McTavish steps into the iconic role of Dracula. Longtime fans will also spot Liam O’Brien, who reprises his role as Isaac after first appearing in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness more than two decades ago.

Development on the project is helmed by Evil Empire acting as the main studio, with Motion Twin operating as an advisory game studio. The two sister developers previously collaborated on The Rogue Prince of Persia and Dead Cells. This 2D action-adventure Metroidvania RPG places players in a sinister castle and the streets of 15th-century Paris.
According to Konami’s official framing, the narrative unfolds over two decades after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and the recent animated show. Players must master diverse weapons and spells, relying on a strong sense of exploration to uncover secrets hidden within the mystical castle.
Franchise Heritage and Recent Series Milestones
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse stands as the first entirely new installment in the franchise since Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 debuted in 2014.
In the interim, Konami has kept the IP active through compilation releases such as the Castlevania Dominus Collection, which arrived in August 2024 for current-generation consoles and PC. That collection bundled three Nintendo DS classics alongside the original arcade title Haunted Castle and its reimagined counterpart, Haunted Castle Revisited. Concurrently, the animated television landscape expanded with Castlevania: Nocturne, a spinoff set during the French Revolution in 1792 that premiered its second season in January 2025.
