Catalonia: Hospitalized after having supported the separatists imprisoned, he claims 20,000 euros from them

A man is suing several associations and political parties favorable to independence… after being injured during a demonstration in support of imprisoned leaders. He was looking for a discreet place to urinate…

On November 2, 2018, a pro-independence association of Catalonia organized a demonstration near the parking lot of the Lledoners prison located north of Barcelona.

One of the demonstrators had then ended the day in the hospital, victim of a fall during this rally in support of the Catalan separatist leaders a year after their entry into prison for having played a role in the organization of the illegal referendum of auto -determination of Catalonia of October 1, 2017.

The man had injured himself while looking for a discreet place to urinate when the demonstration had just ended. But while passing behind a tree, he had a significant fall. He therefore lodged a complaint against several pro-independence associations and political parties. The man indicates that he could have lost his life, no signage having been put in place around the temporary car park which welcomed the demonstrators.

Polytraumatized, he was hospitalized for 14 days and was prevented from practicing his usual activities for 216 days. He is now claiming more than 20,000 from these associations.

The trial will take place on February 8 in a first instance court in Barcelona.
