A Microsoft today announced a true expansion of its search engine, the Bing, for several of its services. One of them is the keyboard SwiftKeywhich gained, in its last update, three features related to the search platform, including the search through the conversation interface that uses the ChatGPT.
The first feature is simply the Bing search directly from the keyboard. The second consists of using the function that incorporates ChatGPT in Bing, also without having to go to another application. The third one is quite interesting: the idea is, using artificial intelligence, to change something you wrote to give it some selected specific tone, such as “professional”, “casual” and “funny”.
To access all these features, just tap on the Bing icon in the upper left corner of the keyboard, as shown in the image below.
To access the news, just update the SwiftKey app. The search function has been released to everyone; the other two require a login, considering that they are still in the preview phase, so it is necessary to enter with an account that is registered.
Remember that this is the first keyboard update in a long time. Microsoft even came close to discontinuing SwiftKey last year, but the app ended up returning to the App Store just over a month later. Apparently, Bing is being the company’s way of renewing the keyboard it acquired in 2016.
Another novelty is related to the Bing translator. Now, when doing translations from English to Spanisho French or the Italian, results are displayed showing female and male genders. Thus, translations can become less mechanical, also helping to use translations in practice.
It was also announced that Bing chat search is being expanded to group chats on Skype. Now, it is necessary that only one of the members of the group has access to the resource for it to be used by all its members. In addition, the search engine is being integrated into the Starta kind of Microsoft news feed still in testing.
