“Unethical behavior”
After many downhill runs were canceled at the start of the season, it was the express wish of the athletes and their support teams to find new dates. “The decision to add a race in Wengen was made together with the head coaches of the national teams.” The FIS strongly condemns such “unethical behavior.” A council member has a duty to act with integrity and in the best interests of the FIS. The comments would damage the reputation of the FIS Council and were disrespectful to the race directors and the entire FIS team, which does hard work to create the best conditions.

Nearly 30 awards in three hours made the Emmys a hectic event. But above all, the acceptance speeches were remarkable.

This year’s Emmys were particularly hectic.
The reason for this was, among other things, the Hollywood strike of last year.
A total of 27 prizes were awarded.
Those responsible for the 75th Emmy Awards actually wanted to celebrate TV history on the anniversary. At the end of the three-hour ceremony in Los Angeles, it seemed as if the Television Academy wanted to give US viewers one message in particular: Be more patient with one another. The most important TV award in the world awards its most important awards separately according to drama, comedy and mini-series – formats with biting comments on the state of modern society won in all three categories.
In the premier category of best drama series, the satirical series “Succession” won on Monday evening (local time), as it did last year. It tells of the many intrigues in a rich family clan that is fighting over the succession of a patriarch in a media empire. The series ended this year following four seasons.
There were also awards for direction, screenplay and the two main actors Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook, who play two of the inheritance-sneaking children in the series. “Succession” won six Emmys this year and won 19 awards over its entire run.
“Succession” actor Kieran Culkin sparked excited hecklers when he turned to his wife Jazz Charton. Culkin said he loved their two children and added: “Jazz, I want more!” To loud applause, he said: “You said ‘maybe’ if I won.”
“The Bear – King of the Kitchen” won big in the comedy categories. It was declared best comedy series, with actor Jeremy Allen White winning best actor. Here, too, there were further awards for direction and screenplay by Christopher Storer as well as supporting role awards for Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
Because the Emmy Awards were postponed for four months due to the writers and actors’ strikes, the opening season of “The Bear” was nominated, although there is now a more quietly told second season. In total, the series won ten awards – more awards than any other program nominated this year.
At the awards for “miniseries, anthologies and television films”, the satire “Beef” was a great success with a total of eight awards.
The producers of the three-hour TV gala have repeatedly tried to evoke nostalgia at the 75th edition of the Emmy Awards. Stars from ensembles from series such as “Cheers”, the “Sopranos” and “Ally McBeal” commemorated their series in replica sets. A total of 27 awards were announced, and the Television Academy had already awarded almost 100 additional awards last weekend. The show often seemed hectic, but at least the acceptance speeches often provided entertaining entertainment and emotional moments.
Perhaps the most touching moment of the evening, however, was the montage with people who have died from the past few months – this was a rare quiet moment in the otherwise often hectic broadcast. Singer Charlie Puth played a sentimental piano version of the “Friends” theme song “I’ll Be There For You”, while the “In Memoriam” montage ended to great applause with a picture of main actor Matthew Perry, who died at the end of October.
