There were already news that the life story of dramatist and film actor NN Pillai is going to be made into a movie directed by Rajeev Ravi. There were reports that Nivin Pauly will be the hero of the film. The movie was announced in 2017.

But then there were no updates regarding the movie. NN Pillai’s son and actor Vijayaraghavan has informed that he has not given up on films. Speaking to Film Express, Vijayaraghavan said that it is a big project and therefore it needs time and the project has not been completed yet.

“It’s a big project. So much preparation is required. They want to show his life in INA (Indian National Army) in that movie. So world wars should be covered. It is a very expensive project. So there is a delay.

The project is still active but things are still in the early stages. I hope the film happens soon,’ said Vijayaraghavan.

Gopan Chidambaram is preparing the screenplay of this movie. There were also reports that Madhu Neelakandan will handle the cinematography of the film. He is a person who has worked in many fields like playwright, actor, theater director and INA freedom fighter. His role as Anjooran in the film Godfather is still discussed a lot by Malayalam movie lovers.

On the other hand, Rajiv Ravi’s latest release is Portamug, starring Nivin Pauly, which hit the theaters on March 10. The film is receiving good reviews from the theatres. Joju George, Poornima Indrajith, Arjun Asokan etc. played other important roles in the film.
