MTN Group will showcase its strategy for advancing Africa’s digital and artificial intelligence capabilities at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2026, taking place from March 2 to 5 at Fira Gran Via.
This marks the first time MTN will exhibit from a dedicated stand – Hall 4 – at the annual industry event, which convenes global leaders, governments, and investors to shape the future of connectivity. The event’s 20th edition in Barcelona will focus on “The IQ Era,” spotlighting AI-powered connectivity and next-generation networks.
MTN Group President and CEO Ralph Mupita, currently serving as Deputy Chair of the GSMA, will participate in high-level discussions regarding the role of telecommunications in fostering AI ecosystems. His engagements will center on the infrastructure and regulatory frameworks necessary for responsible AI adoption, particularly within emerging markets, according to a company statement.
