Bella Fontleroy, a senior guard/forward for the Baylor Bears women’s basketball team, demonstrated an aggressive offensive start in the first quarter of a recent game, according to a social media post by Baylor Women’s Basketball on February 15, 2026.
The post, accompanied by the hashtags #SicEm and #GreaterThan, highlighted Fontleroy’s performance. This comes after a dominant 84-62 road victory over the Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, where Fontleroy led the Bears with 21 points, shooting 6-of-9 from beyond the arc, and adding six rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block.
Baylor (23-5, 13-2) extended its winning streak to seven games with the win. The Buffaloes (17-9, 8-7) were playing without four key players: Frida Formann, Lior Garzon, Kindyll Wetta, and Sara-Rose Smith, who collectively average over 33 points per game. Despite Colorado shooting 44% from the floor, Baylor forced 20 turnovers and made 11 more 3-point field goals.
Fontleroy, a standout player for the Bears, was named to the 2025 All-Big 12 Defensive Team and received Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors. She was also a 2024 Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection and a unanimous choice for the 2023 Big 12 All-Freshman Team. She started all 36 games during her junior season and led the team in steals in 12 games.
The game against Colorado also saw senior guard Jada Walker score 17 points and dish out six assists. However, Walker briefly left the game with an apparent ankle injury in the first quarter before returning later and contributing a half-court shot. Senior center Aaronette Vonleh added 10 points and eight rebounds in 17 minutes of action against her former school.
Baylor was playing without Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, the team’s leading scorer and rebounder, who sustained an ankle injury in the previous game against Texas Tech.
