Samsung has revolutionised phone standards, and this is especially the case with high-end gadgets. Unfortunately, it does come with a high price tag as well. The Fold’s USB-C socket can be connected to an external monitor with ease. You also have the option of being able to connect to an external peripheral. The phone itself can charge in as little as 72 minutes, but only if you have a 25W or more, power adapter. You should know that this is not included within the device. The Fold 5 also comes with Snapdragon technology which helps it to stand above the rest. Unlike any other phones you may use this year, running 8 apps at the same time will take up everything it can give you. The battery lasts on average 48 hours between charges. This is when using it outside and inside. This is way better than the model that came out the year before.

Sustainability

The Fold 5 ultimately feels solid. It has a good fingerprint scanner and you can hit the power button if you want to unlock the device. Samsung doesn’t provide an expected lifespan for the battery but so far, it looks to last for around 500 full charges. After this point, you will probably have to replace it, so you need to keep this in mind. The Fold 5 comes from recycled aluminium as well as glass and even plastic. Samsung offers you a great deal of options when it comes to trade-in and there are numerous recycling schemes if you are willing to let go of your old device. The company does make the effort to publish annual sustainability reports but you will not be able to see an impact assessment of their devices.

For this very reason, you’ll need to be mindful of that when the time comes for you to take out your new device.  If you can do this then there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to get the result you want.

The federal government announced on Thursday (31) the amount of R$ 66 billion in lines of credit to encourage technological innovation in Brazil. The financing launched by Geraldo Alckimin, Vice President of the Republic and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (Mdic), carries a very low interest rate of 4% per year, plus the reference rate index (TR).

According to information from the minister, R$ 16 billion of the total will be distributed through public notices and will not need to be returned. In the case of amounts borrowed for financing, the period for repaying the debt is up to 16 years, with the possibility of a grace period of up to 4 years, that is, the company starts paying the installments only following this period.

Alckimin celebrated the billionaire contribution destined to innovation, highlighting the low interest rate. “It is the lowest interest rate in history. Nominal interest of 4%”, emphasized the vice president and minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC). This rate is lower than the 13% to 15% interest charged by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDS).

According to the government statement, the amounts will be released at the end of September with a transfer to different types of projects related to technology and innovation, including the use of artificial intelligence, development of sustainable fuels for aviation, digitalization of the economy, ways of sustainable mobility, etc.
