Some men experience pain in one or both testicles during urination, which makes them anxious, fearing that this is a warning sign of a number of diseases.
In the following report, the Consulto reviews the causes of testicular pain during urination, according to Medical News Today and the Cleveland Clinic.
Causes of testicle pain during urination
1- Epididymitis
The epididymis is a tube in the back of the testicle that stores sperm. It can become infected due to some sexually transmitted diseases, such as gonorrhea, chlamydia and urinary tract infections.
Testicular pain is a common symptom of epididymitis, as well as swelling and a feeling of heat when palpating the scrotum.

2- inguinal hernia
Testicular pain during urination in some men may indicate an inguinal hernia, which occurs when part of the intestine pushes through the weakened area of the abdominal muscles near the thighs.
3- Kidney stones
Testicular pain during urination becomes a sure sign of kidney stones, if it is accompanied by the following symptoms:
Burning sensation when urinating.
– frequent urination.
Blood in the urine.
Nausea.
Vomiting.
Pain in the upper part of the penis.
Sharp pain extending from the back to the thigh.
– fever.

4- Orchitis
If left untreated, epididymitis may progress to orchitis. Symptoms include:
Testicular pain during urination.
Swelling of one or both testicles.
Fatigue
– fever.
Nausea.
Vomiting.
5- Testicular torsion
A serious problem that occurs when the spermatic cord turns in a way that prevents the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the testicles, which leads to severe pain in them, as well as nausea and vomiting, and swelling of the scrotum and its color change to red or black.
6- Varicocele
Sometimes, testicular pain warns of varicose veins, especially if it is less felt when lying down, and it is necessary to expedite its treatment, because it may negatively affect reproduction.

7- Testicular cancer
Of the serious diseases revealed by pain and swelling of the testicle, the chances of developing it increase among men between the ages of 15 and 35, and it is usually diagnosed by ultrasound.
