CENAMED advocates that teams follow correct protocols to detect possible cases – news

According to a source from the National Center for Sports Medicine (CENAMED), Girabola clubs have carried out tests in hospitals that do not follow protocols for detecting cardiovascular pathologies.

Therefore, he highlighted that many clubs have not subjected players to stress tests, electrocardiograms and heart ultrasounds, which has resulted in sudden deaths.

However, he called on clubs to carry out tests in reference centers, such as CENAMED or Dom Cardeal Alexandre Nascimento, so that cardiac diseases can be detected.

The source said that, for various reasons, medical examinations are not always able to detect cardiovascular pathologies.

Therefore, he pointed out that clubs need to create effective resuscitation programs, so that when the individual has cardiorespiratory arrest they can receive immediate assistance.
