CEOS Technology proceeded Wednesday, May 11 in Casablanca, with the launch of its new innovative service “Express Relais”, a network of automatic lockers allowing merchants and individuals to send and receive intra-city or inter-city parcels in very fast turnaround times.
Established on the national territory, in accessible places (shopping centers, railway stations, service stations, residential complexes, etc.), the service offers a current fleet of 31 lockers distributed in 5 cities (Casablanca, Rabat, Mohammedia, Tangier and Marrakech) and should reach 147 by the end of the year (1,100 machines in 5 years).
Express Relais automatic lockers are designed and manufactured in Morocco. They are equipped with 100% Moroccan software technology, developed within the R&D center of CEOS Technology. The Express Relais project will require an investment of 82 million dirhams over 5 years, including 16.4 million dirhams committed to date. It will create, in 3 years, 138 direct and indirect jobs, of which 19% have been created to date.
Thanks to a sophisticated information system and connected lockers, the Express Relais service makes it easy to book online (www.expressrelais.ma, mobile app: expressrelais), sending or receiving an intra-city or inter-city parcel. The sender then receives his code to deposit the parcel in a departure locker, and the recipient receives his code to collect the parcel in an arrival locker or at a chosen address (home, office, etc.).
Mohamed Talal, founder of CEOS Technology, said: “Covid accelerated, people started ordering more and more on the internet and the trend was confirmed even in Morocco. Post-pandemic consumers have become more demanding. They want to buy and consume quickly; our goal is to make their lives easier by disconnecting the moment of delivery from the moment of receipt”.
Thanks to the automatic locker, it is possible to deposit and withdraw parcels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including on public holidays, which frees merchants and individuals from the constraints of waiting for shipment or delivery. Personal data is protected and it is possible to know, at any time, the delivery status of the parcel (parcel tracking).

Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, present at the launch ceremony, reacted: “It seems to be a basic project, but between our industrial capacities, we are able to make connected objects of high technology and high security at the international level which are able to compete with competitors all over the world”.
