This Thursday the results of the last survey of the Center for Public Studies (CEP), which revealed a technical tie between the options I approve and reject, in the Exit plebiscite.
Its about National Study of Public Opinion No. 86, corresponding to the April-May period.
The data collection was carried out between April 13 and May 29, 2022, where the rejection of the fifth withdrawal, the acts of violence on Labor Day and the publication of the draft of the New Constitution stood out.

According to the CEP measurement, 58% of those surveyed rate the country’s current economic situation as bad or very bad, a figure that increases by 23% compared to August 2021.
Likewise, 42% of people consider that the country’s economic situation will worsen in the next 12 months, 21% more than in the August 2021 measurement.
Regarding the political situation in Chile, 52% consider it Bad/Very Bad, 36% neither good nor bad, and only 9% consider it Very Good or Good.
Asked whether the current political situation is better, the same or worse than 5 years ago, 44% consider it to be worse, 33% worse and 18% better.
CEP Survey reveals technical tie in the Exit Plebiscite
Regarding the constitutional process, a 37% of people have not yet decided their vote in the Exit plebiscite.
While there is no statistically significant difference between the approve and reject options, the first reaches 25%, while the second 27%, also considering the sample error of ± 2.9%.
If they win the Rejection in the Exit Plebiscite, 42% of people believe that it is better that a new Constitution proposal be drawn up to replace the current one.
On the other hand, 69% consider that the conventional should privilege the
agreements even if they have to give in.
And 19% prefer that they defend their positions, even if that means not reaching agreements.
In relation to the proposals, they were consulted on the change in Justice, 82% believe that there is a national justice system for all inhabitants.
13%, meanwhile, are in favor of a national justice system and other justice systems for indigenous peoples.
Something different is evident in the idea of giving quotas or seats reserved for native peoples in Congress. There, 61% are in favor and 19% disagree.
President Boric registers 49% disapproval according to CEP Survey
About public figures Mayor of Providencia, Evelyn Matthei, leads the list with a 37% positive evaluation.
They follow the Minister of Finance, Mario Marcel, with 34%; and the presidente, Gabriel Boric, with 32%.
However, 49% of people disapprove of the way in which the president is conducting his government, 32% approve and 14% neither approve nor disapprove.
Likewise, the drop in the evaluation of the Minister of the Interior, Izkia Siches, stands out, with a drop in her evaluation of 12% compared to the previous measurement of the CEP survey.
Universities, PDI and radios, among the institutions that generate greater trust
Between the institutions that generate greater confidence, las universities appear in first place with 54%.
Follow them Investigative Police, with 45%, and the Radios, with 44%.
Further down appears Carabineros with 38% and the Armed Forces with 36%.
The Government, for its part, achieved 22%, as did the Constitutional Convention.
The last ones on the list are the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, with 10%; together with the political parties, with 4%.
