Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala University has lodged a complaint with the DGP against SFI leader Nikhil Thomas who got admission in MCom in the same college with a fake certificate from Kalinga University, Chhattisgarh, after failing B.Com at Kayamkulam MSM College.
In the complaint filed by Registrar Dr. Anilkumar, the Kalinga University authorities have stated that fake certificates were issued for admission and since producing fake certificates is a criminal offence, appropriate action should be taken.
Kalinga Varsity sought an explanation as to whether the documents submitted by Nikhil were fake. Kerala University Presented Certificate, Mark List, TC and Provisional Certificate sent to Kalinga. By presenting all these, Nikhil obtained the eligibility certificate from Kerala. During the same period, the proofs of studying in the college of Kerala University were also handed over. Copies of this have also been handed over to DGP.
MSM directed the college to provide full academic details of Nikhil’s BCom and MCom courses within 24 hours. Action will be taken against the teachers who colluded to get admission for Nikhil. The principal was given a notice to appear in person today with the documents.

Kalinga University has stated that the B.Com certificate presented by Nikhil for M.Com admission in MSM College is fake. Registrar Sandeep Gandhi gave this statement to the Kerala Police team that came to Raipur for investigation. When Nikhil’s certificates were shown, the documents were revealed to be fake. A student named Nikhil Thomas has never studied in Kalinga. The Kalinga Registrar has stated that he will fully cooperate with the investigation conducted by the Kerala Police. The police team from Kayamkulam sought information from the VC and the registrar. Kalinga University Registrar will inform Kerala University in writing today that the certificates are fake.
