The CARE project, which concerns the creation of a center for users with borderline personality disorders, was also selected for benefit from an innovation fund, illustrating the CHLC’s commitment to prevention and early intervention. Let us also mention the organization of the National Days of Adolescent Homes (MDA) or the organization of the first Doctors/Nurses in Advanced Practices (IPA) conference which brought together professionals from different cities and structures to discuss their practices. The year 2023 was also marked by the certification visit of the High Authority of Health (HAS) and the General Controller of Places of Deprivation of Liberty (CGLPL). The results of these assessments are expected at the start of the year, reflecting the CHLC’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of care.

Investments for 2024

In 2024, the CH continues to invest and in particular by making the acquisition of a building with an area of 750 m2 on Chenôve for the Medical-Psychological Center, Part-Time Therapeutic Activities Center and Hospital de Jour (CMP, CATTP/HDJ) whose work will be carried out in 2024. This will allow better accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Renovation work will also be carried out in various units of the CHLC, with the aim of improving reception conditions for the public. Two springboard apartments will also see the light of day. Other important information: redevelopment work will focus on the entrances to the CH, the main entrance being redesigned while a second entrance will be created on Avenue Albert 1is. The objective is to allow greater openness to the city and better ease of access, particularly for people traveling by bus. The largest investment of the year will be on the construction site of the future Specialized Reception Center (MAS) for a budget of €14M. Finally, the medical-social support service for disabled adults (SAMSAH) “Le Trait d’Union” will extend to the Côte-d’Orien territory with the creation of a Beaune branch which should be effective from February.

Openness to the city and cultural initiatives

The CH La Chartreuse continues to work to open the establishment to the city and fight against stigma linked to psychiatry. In 2023, the establishment hosted cultural events such as the Vélotour and organized the 2nd edition of the race Gentle Strides. To note : the 3rd edition of Gentle Strides will take place on October 13, 2024 with a course dedicated to the youngest. The establishment also carried out the réSONances podcast, which gives a voice to those who bring CH La Chartreuse to life (to be found on CHLC social networks). These initiatives invite the public to change the way they view mental health while encouraging social inclusion.

Support for loved ones

A special effort has been made and continues to best support the loved ones of people suffering from mental disorders. In this objective, CH La Chartreuse proposed to the departmental and regional section of the National Union of Families and Friends of Sick and/or Mentally Disabled People (UNAFAM) to invest in two premises located near the Well of Moses. The latter, which should be inaugurated in the coming months, will allow those concerned not to be alone in the face of their loved one’s illness and to easily access attentive reception with a view to mutual aid and support.

A “well-being cocoon” for professionals

CH La Chartreuse also continues to take care of its professionals and attach particular importance to the quality of life at work. After setting up a sports hall and creating a staff psychologist position, the CH is working on setting up a cocoon for staff intended to promote well-being at work to ultimately improve the quality of patient care.
