However, under the leadership of the Party, management of the State, the effective operation of the National Assembly, the drastic management of the Government, along with the active, creative and effective actions of the Fatherland Front. Vietnam and socio-political organizations, including the significant contribution of members, farmers and the Vietnam Farmers’ Union, our country has overcome difficulties and achieved many achievements. very proud of the economy and society; strengthen national defense and security potential, build political system, combine national strength with the strength of the times and expand international relations.

In the context of a recession and high inflation around the world, in 2022, Vietnam’s economy has had a strong recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic and left a very positive mark with GDP growth reaching 8.02%, this is the highest level in the past 12 years, in which the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.36%; export value of agriculture, forestry and fishery reached over 53 billion USD; inflation is controlled, food security and energy security are ensured, labor supply basically meets the needs of enterprises.
The Agriculture sector currently has 8 products/product groups with export value of over US$2 billion, including coffee, rubber, rice, vegetables, cashews, shrimp, pangasius, and wood products. The new rural construction program achieved positive results: The whole country had 5,860 communes (71.3%) meeting the new rural standards; there are 925 communes meeting the newly enhanced rural standards; 110 communes meet the new model rural standard; 255 district-level units met new rural standards, accounting for 39.6% of the total number of districts in the country.
The above exciting results have made an important contribution to the cause of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, once again affirming the position of the “supporting” economy of the agricultural sector. agriculture and the “subject” role of Vietnamese farmers in the process of agricultural and rural development.
