Champions League: nice success for Zug, Davos confirms – rts.ch

Zug and Davos have succeeded in their second meeting in the Champions League. Both clubs can almost head for the round of 16 even before their first home game.

Zug beat TPS Turku 4-0 for a prestigious success. The Zug defenders produced a solid attacking performance: Niklas Hansson, Nico Gross and Livio Stadler scored their team’s first three successes, while winger Lino Martschini scored in the empty net.

At the other end of the ice, Zug goalkeeper Leonardo Genoni repelled a whopping 37 shots to earn his first shutout of the season.

Davos scored 6 goals in Belfast

In Belfast, Davos needed his power-play (3 goals) to defeat the Northern Irish 6-3. Matej Stransky (2 goals) and Leon Bristedt (1 goal) each collected 3 points.

Zug and Davos are in good position for the future as they will play 3 of their last 4 group matches at home.
