A Twitter posting from the account of Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) caused malice on the social media platform on the national holiday. “On today’s national holiday, I would like to thank everyone who contributes to our beautiful country and makes Austria what it is: a strong, safe and livable country. Believe in Austria! Beautiful #NationalDay!”, the Chancellor had posted in the morning. He also published a picture of the Austrian federal eagle – but in a mirror image. The federal eagle did not look to the left as it should, but to the right.
